Summer Cottage

For this project, a once-traditional Victorian house has been reimagined with a palette of colours, materials and patterns inspired by the ease of a summer holiday in a rustic countryside cottage. Throughout the home, we selected gentle, layered tones to create a soft, uplifting atmosphere—one that feels both serene and warmly nostalgic. Our aim was to capture that comforting sense of familiarity that summer retreats often evoke.

Upon arrival, you’re greeted by a narrow hallway brought to life through a harmonious blend of buttery yellow and soft green—an inviting prelude that draws you toward the open kitchen, dining and living space beyond. The green kitchen worktop acts as a subtle connective element, guiding the eye from the hallway into the terracotta-toned living room, where warmth and coziness take centre stage.

The property features five bedrooms, each with its own compact ensuite. While the proportions are modest, considered colour choices and thoughtful detailing transform what could have felt limiting into spaces that are intimate, characterful and full of vibrancy.
