Architect & Interior Designer in Hampshire.
Led by Tim and Zofia, the architect and interior designer behind ZAHRADA. Based in Winchester, we work with homeowners across Hampshire on renovations, extensions and new homes, bringing the building and its interiors together into something you love.
From a first look at an awkward layout to a whole-house redesign, we help you decide what your home needs and how to take the project forward, within your budget.
Our work ranges from the careful renovation of period and listed buildings to contemporary extensions, new homes and boutique hotels.
Hampshire is home to an incredibly varied mix of buildings and landscapes, from historic market towns and conservation areas to rural villages, chalk downs and the coast.
We look closely at what is already there, what matters to you, and how the site can evolve in a way that feels natural to its setting – ultimately helping you obtain the relevant planning permissions, so you can start you’re exciting build. If you’re beginning a project in Hampshire, we’d love to hear about your project.
We love helping homeowners with their exciting projects in Hampshire.
Renovations.
We work through layouts, materials and interiors together, keeping what gives the home character while addressing the spaces that no longer suit you.
Extensions.
Add the space you need with a considered relationship to the existing house. We explore how the new rooms affect the old ones, including light, circulation and access to the garden.
New Homes.
Develop a brief around your site, budget and everyday needs. Architecture and interiors evolve together, so furniture, storage and the way you use each room inform the building from the beginning.
Why zahrada?
We are a small studio with direct involvement.
Our practice is just us, Tim & Zofia – you can probably work out who’s who from the photograph. You’ll work directly with the two of us from start to finish.
We begin by listening to what you want to change, what you love already and how you want your home to feel. From there, we establish the brief, test the options and guide you through the decisions ahead.
Some of our work.
Summer Cottage brings warm colour, timber and layered fabrics together. It offers a glimpse of the attention we give to the interiors as well as the building.

We also welcome enquiries from Winchester, the Test Valley and the surrounding Hampshire villages. Tell us about your project.
We'd love to hear about your ambitions.
We begin with a relaxed video or phone call to hear your vision, your goals, and your budget. No charge or obligations.
We then visit your home for an in-depth consultation – listening, understanding how you live, and seeing the building for ourselves.
We’ll follow up with a detailed proposal with a clear roadmap for your project – the stages, the approach, and the fees – from first drawings to post-completion celebrations.
